Chuck currently serves as the president of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation after serving as a member of the Foundation's Board of Trustees for 18 years. He served as board chair for the five years immediately preceding his appointment as president.
Chuck is a lifelong Methodist and is passionate about his faith and his family. He is a baby boomer and has a special interest in helping Methodist ministries and churches develop planned giving programs.
Chuck entered the ministry after a successful 32-year career with IBM. He has served as senior pastor at several United Methodist churches in North Georgia and most recently was the senior pastor of Kingswood UMC.
He is a 1967 graduate of Savannah State College with Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and mathematics. He received the Masters of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology in 2001. He was ordained an elder in 2004.
Chuck and his wife Mary have two children and four grandchildren. Chuck is an avid college basketball fan and enjoys playing golf.
