HEALTH FAIR at Woodstock 2005

Several United Methodist Churches in the area and SERV Ministries partnered together to serve over 350 people in need of health services in the Woodstock area .





Volunteers from several United Methodist Churches offered dental services, as well as vision, medicines, and the services of a physician and nurses, at Woodstock UMC.





Soccer Program at Hollydale UMC 2006

Children from the community are sponsored to play in the soccer league. They also receive spiritual guidance through devotions and through their coaches.





Volunteers from the church dedicate time to play and to establish relationships with the children. The parents are encouraged to participate.

Summer Camp for Latino Youth 2005

Youth from various United Methodist Spanish speaking congregations gathered at Camp Glisson to worship, learn and have fellowship with each other.





More than 60 Latino youth from the North Georgia Conference and from other Conferences in the Jurisdiction spent 4 days at Camp Glisson.

Backpacks for children 2005

Several churches from the Woodstock, Canton, Roswell and Atlanta area gathered 150 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in the Woodstock community.

Cumming First UMC

A celebration with music, dance and food helps to build bridges between the congregation and their new neighbors.

Bilingual Annual Service

Every year, during the Hispanic Heritage Month, Latinos and non-Latinos in North Georgia gather to celebrate what God is doing in the Hispanic/Latino Community.

 

 

 With hyms, songs and prayer, the congregation worships together in Spanish and English as members of God's diverse family.

 

 

We celebrate our heritage, our music, our language, and the diversity of our church.

English Classes at Midway UMC

The church has opened its doors to offer English classes (ESOL) for the Douglasville community.

GED tutoring at Cornelia UMC

Volunteers from the church offer weekly classes to help students prepare to take the GED exam. They also offer English classes for the community.
