Youth Minister- Simpsonwood United Methodist Church
The Youth Minister should be a Christ-centered team player who is comfortable leading and directing large numbers of students and volunteers in ministry. This person must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills. They must be equipped with a working knowledge of event planning, program management, and communication. They will also be comfortable in transforming big ideas into realistic ministry.
General Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage a growing student ministry in Peachtree Corners that emphasizes involvement in worship, growth through small groups, and local missions.
- Organize and implement all ministries, programs, and events for youth in grades 6-12. These include but are not limited to: Sunday Night Live (SNL), Sunday School, Confirmation, Small Group studies, Special Events, and Retreats.
- Communicate effectively with youth and their parents.
- Model positive and appropriate relationships with youth and enforce all Safe Sanctuaries policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision, encouragement, and support of current volunteers in ministry while continuing to identify and recruit additional volunteers.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinate games, worship time, and discussion for Sunday Night Live (SNL).
- Manage Sunday morning small groups.
- Plan, promote, and execute the annual Middle School Retreat, High School Retreat, and summer mission trips.
- Maintain all communications for student ministry (Facebook, Twitter, SUMC Student Ministry webpage, inner church communications, etc.)
- Implementation of a small group system for students.
- Coordinate evangelistic outreach efforts for local middle school students and high school students.
- Plan and develop curriculum for students.
- Plan and implement calendar for student ministry and
- Prepare necessary reports as needed regarding state of the student ministry.
- Coordinate annual Confirmation program.
- Assist with Sunday Morning Worship Experience through participation on Sunday morning worship services and preparation throughout the week.
- Work with volunteer teams to coordinate fundraising events for youth
Accountability:
The Youth Minister reports to and is directly supervised by the Senior Pastor. Both are accountable to the Staff Pastor Relations Committee.

Director Youth and Young Adult Ministries
We are Rock Springs UMC a small community church located at 1100 Rock Springs Road in Lawrenceville GA. We have an opportunity for a part time position to be responsible for the development, organization and administration of our church programs for middle/high school youth and young adults in a ministry to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the docturines of the Methodist Church. This position will report to the Senior Pastor and work with appropriate laity and church committees to:
Establish curriculum/study plan that includes Christian Living, knowledge of God, Jesus and His teachings, Christian History, World Religions, Methodist History and Basic Theology.
Develop and implement weekly programs containing worship, bible study, prayer, and social (fun) activities for youth and young adults.
Develop a trusting relationship with youth and young adults to increase their involvement in the church.
Work with parents/guardians to enhance youth participation in the life of the chruch.

Demonstrates personal spritual maturity and integrity
Demonstrates theological agreement with church purpose, goals and mission
Has relevant education and experience with youth and young adults
Is able to communicate and operate effectively within contemporary youth and young adult culture.
Demonstrates the ability to be a self starter working with minimal supervision and flexibility in working hours.
Demonstrates a care for youth/young adults of all ages, their faith, their life and their future in and outside of church.

Youth Pastor

POSITION DESCRIPTION
YOUTH MINISTER
General Responsibilities: To be a self-starter and to be a team player. The Youth Minister will advocate and model United Methodist theology, doctrine and policy. Plan, organize, and implement a wide range of activities for junior and senior high youth. Provide Bible studies and opportunities for faith growth. Recruit and trains adult volunteers. Recruit and train youth leadership. Maintain regular contacts with youth. Maintain contact with parents as necessary. Work with church staff and work areas to help implement the church mission.
Specific Responsibilities:
On an ongoing basis, plan for, organize and implement a youth activities program for junior and senior high youth. Plan, organize and implement special youth worship services, retreats, camps, trips, etc. Plan, organize, and implements an annual youth service project. Work with other youth directors in other United Methodist churches and ecumenical groups. Perform other duties as may be requested or required from time to time. To follow the Safe Sanctuaries policy as adopted by Chapel Hill UMC.
Position requirements: Demonstration of Christian character and commitment in daily life and the ability to articulate a personal faith journey. A college degree in a related field such as theology, counseling, social work, education is desirable.
Experience in leading church youth activities. Ability to organize programs and activities and to activate responsibilities with a minimum of supervision and follow-up.
Salary/Employment time frame: The position requires 10 to 12 hours a week work schedule. The salary is $15,000 for a period of 12 months with possibilities of renewal.Â

Part-Time Youth Minister
Colbert United Methodist Church in Colbert, GA is hiring for a Part-Time Youth Director. An ideal candidate would be passionate about youth ministry, United Methodist or Wesleyan in theological perspective, flexible, and dedicated to growing others in Christ.

The Youth Director will plan and carry out the following youth activities: Youth Programs for middle and high school students on Sunday nights, service and mission projects, and special events including trips, concerts, and fund raising events.
The Youth Director will also: attend quarterly Church Council Meetings, keep youth parents and the congregation informed about youth events, assist with fund raising projects, and manage the United Methodist Youth Fellowship bank account.
The Youth Director will be responsible to the PPR Committee and reports directly to the pastor. The Youth Council will assist and advise the Youth Director as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is $300 per month. The Youth Director will be paid for two excused absences for the calendar year approved in advance by the pastor. The Youth Director will also have an expense account of $600 to cover professional expenses.

Part-Time Youth Ministry Position
North Springs United Methodist Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia is searching for a part-time youth minister to work with mid-high and senior-high youth.
The estimated time commitment is 15 hours a week. One retreat and a summer mission trip will be additional. This person will should be passionate about serving Jesus Christ and be able to develop a youth program that is growing in number and depth through fellowship, study and evangelism.

Youth Ministry Program Coordinator
Midway UMC in Alpharetta, GA is currently seeking a part-time Youth Ministry Program Coordinator to help the Pastor in Charge re-build the MUMC Youth Ministry. The successful candidate will have a passion for engaging middle and high school teenagers, excellent interpersonal relationship skills with youth and adults, and strong program coordination and management skills that can easily transfer to local church youth ministry.
The Youth Ministry Program Coordinator provides organizational support to the Pastor in Charge and Youth Council to coordinate and execute the youth ministry program plan. Currently the youth ministry program plan uses adult volunteers to offer weekly Confirmation and Sunday School classes, Sunday Night Live, and seasonal mission projects, retreats, and Youth Week in the summer.
The Youth Ministry Program Coordinator will have a spacious Youth Room, GYM, Fellowship Hall and fleet of mini-buses to work with in addition to a small operating budget and some designated funding. There are currently 15-25 active middle and high school students with the potential to grow to 65-75 in 18-24 months.

Youth Ministry Coordinator
