Administrative Assistant - Part-time

Bethel UMC is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. Hours are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The primary role will be as support to the senior pastor and other staff, including production of weekly bulletins, monthly newsletters and other parish communications. Will answer the telephone and greet guests. Will take reservations for events, answer general questions about church activities, and maintain the online church calendar. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office needed. Prior church experience or knowledge of the workings of a church desired.

Bookkeeper/Secretary

Full Charge Bookkeeper wanted Financials, AR, AP and Payroll for a small congregation with a preschool. Pay per hour is $17.00. 25 - 30 hours per week. Possible full time opportunity at a future date. Experience with Church Windows a plus. Some secretarial duties as well. Program Director

Action Ministries, Inc. (AMI) is an independent, faith-based Georgia non-profit corporation with roots in the United Methodist Church. AMI is a unified family of ministries with program divisions located in communities throughout the North Georgia region. The AMI family includes ministry programs operated in Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, Decatur, Gainesville, and Rome, and has additional Transitional Housing sites located throughout the region. At present, AMI is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Program Director at its Gainesville location, Gainesville Action Ministries (GAM). GAM works in its surrounding community to care for and empower those in crisis to become self-sufficient through the provision of case management, personal development programming, long-term life skills education, and financial assistance. The Program Director reports to the Action Ministries Vice President, Operations. Campus Minister, Wesley Foundation in Cincinnati

The Wesley Foundation in Cincinnati is searching for a Campus Minister/Executive Director to lead its growing and successful campus ministry, beginning July 1, 2010. The Wesley Foundation in Cincinnati, Inc. is an extension ministry of the West Ohio Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is a small non-profit organization that supports the work of the United Methodist Campus Ministry at the University of Cincinnati and other college and university campuses in Greater Cincinnati. The Campus Minister/Executive Director has responsibility for advancing the Wesley Foundation's mission and laying the groundwork for its future. As Campus Minister, the candidate will assume responsibility for the United Methodist Church's pastoral mission to the University of Cincinnati and other nearby college and university campuses. Applicants must be a member of the United Methodist Church (lay or clergy). The Search Committee will give preference to applicants having a Master's degree, five years experience in campus ministry, and significant experience in grant writing, fund-raising, and mission interpretation.
