Ministry Description: Student Ministry Worship Director The Student Ministry Worship Director helps the student ministry encourage, equip, and empower students to grow as disciples who lead others to Jesus Christ by providing leadership to our weekly student worship gatherings and by developing worship teams within the Student Ministries of Hamilton Mill UMC. DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Has oversight of the Student Ministry Worship Team and assists the Student Ministry staff in the implementation of the overall vision of the entire student ministry. • Equips and encourages students and volunteers to grow as worship leaders and worshippers. SPECIAL SKILLS: Result #1: ProPresenter and Planning Center Online are updated weekly with up to date music, events, and planning for the worship team and staff. Result #2: Students and leaders have been recruited, equipped, and empowered to lead worship in a mighty way. Result #3: Rehearsals have been ran smooth and effectively encouraging and equipping students for program worship. Result #4: Equipment has been evaluated and kept orderly to ensure its longevity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Result #5: Lead Student worship alongside of a team on Wednesday nights for the Middle—our Middle School Ministry and Sunday nights for Ignite—our High School Ministry. Result #6: Lead worship for special events & outings – Fall retreat, Confirmation retreat, & mission trips upon request by Student Ministry staff. Result #7: A team of students and adults has been recruited, developed, and discipled to serve God & the Student Ministry. Result #8: Weekly rehearsals for upcoming worship events have been led and the worship team is aware of their role at those particular events. Result #9: Weekly musicians have been scheduled through Planning Center Online. Result #10: Worship services have been planned alongside Student Ministry staff members. GENERAL: Result #11: Time has been spent in forming relationships with students outside of Sunday mornings & Wednesday nights. Result #12: Monthly planning meetings and bi-weekly production meetings have been scheduled and attended with Student Ministry staff. Result #13: Personal behavior and a lifestyle consistent with Christian faith and principles has been modeled. Team Composition (number): 1 Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week. This position would be contracted for an annual basis.
