Butler Fund

The Butler Fund is designed to support and encourage North Georgia Conference Mission endeavors. The Butler Fund is administered by the Outreach Team of the North Georgia Conference Connectional Ministries. Grants are awarded upon recommendation of the Outreach Team with the approval of the Connectional Ministries Executive Team. Currently, funds are very limited.

Renfro Trust

The Renfro Trust Grant was established in the 1950s from the estate of Judge William E. Renfro and his wife "to be used for the purpose of establishing and supporting United Methodist churches in rural areas of the United States within the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church.

"The Renfro Trust Fund awards annual bricks-and-mortar grants to small rural United Methodist congregations in the Southeastern Jurisdiction. Renfro Trust Funds are again available for award, beginning in 2015. The deadline for application is September 1 of the year in which the application is made." 

"Please note: Applications will only be accepted when submitted through the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries of the Conference in which you are located."

Housing and Homeless Council Grants

The North Georgia Conference Housing and Homeless Council grants funds to churches and non-profit agencies that provide shelters, soup kitchens, transitional housing, clothing closets, and other services to very poor and homeless persons. Grants are funded from an annual homeless offering in United Methodist Churches and some from other donations. Find the grant application on the Housing and Homeless Council website.
