Day 3 Photos - Thursday, June 19
The Office of Church Development (Now Office of New Church Development) introduces Church Planters.
Ibraham Dandaji, a young resident of the Child Rescue Center in Sierra Leone, thanked North Georgia for raising funds to build a new facility at the center. His testimony sparked the conference to collect an offering of more than $13,000 for the Center.
It was thumbs up for clergy spouses as they relived the Happy Days with Jennifer Davis (who arrived on a motorcycle).

Jamie Jenkins leads a portion of the Service of Farewell and Celebration of Ministry for 12 years of service by Bishop and Mrs. Davis. In the back is a quilt with each of the Annual Conference Logos from those 12 years.
Rather than the traditional love offering given to a departing Bishop, the Davises requested that the conference give the offering to two mission efforts they support. Conference churches gave $110,000 to the love/mission offering. Two checks were presented at the service, one for $55,000 to Hands to Honduras and one for $55,000 to Venezuela Now.

Bishop Davis says goodbye and thank you to the Conference where he arrived as a "rookie bishop" and now leaves having spent 40 percent of his ministry in service in North Georgia.
