Dianne is an educator who retired as a reading specialist in DeKalb County. Since retirement, she has earned a degree in Culinary Arts.
Dianne currently serves as a Board member of The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, and as the Secretary for the Southeastern Jurisdictional Leadership team of the UMW. Previously she held the role of vice chair of Southeastern Jurisdictional Commission on the Status and Role of Women, and as secretary for the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women.
In the North Georgia Conference, she serves many roles including: Associate Lay Leader, Committee on Episcopacy, and the Board of Laity.
In the Atlanta Decatur Oxford District, Dianne serves as a Certified Lay Speaker; member of the Committee on Ordained Ministry; Connectional Ministries; and served as the past UMW President.
Dianne was a member of Columbia Drive UMC for over 30 years where she served as the chair of missions, Church Hostess; SPRC; Administrative Council; UMW President; Chair, Board of Trustees; Finance, Church School Superintendent; Sunday School Teacher; Youth Coordinator; Children’s Coordinator. Now a member of Kelley Chapel UMC, Dianne serves as a member of the local UMW as well as serves as a volunteer teaching creative card making. To Kelley Chapel members and the local community.
This is Dianne’s second time as General Conference Delegate. She has also served as an alternate Jurisdictional Conference Delegate in 2004.
