Ed Tomlinson

Now District Superintendent of the Atlanta Roswell District, Ed Tomlinson was the Executive Assistant to Bishop Lindsey Davis from  1999-2007.  Twice he has been a District Superintendent before his current appointment as superintendant of the Atlanta-Roswell and Rome-Carrollton districts.  He has served Briarcliff, Allgood Road, Mt. Bethel, and Northside churches.

Currently, Ed is a Director of the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits, is  a member of the denominational Task Force on Church Systems, and represents the North Georgia Conference on the Southeastern Jurisdiction Committee on Episcopacy .

He is a graduate of Emory and Henry College and Candler School of Theology.  He earned a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary (Dayton, Ohio).

He and his wife, Nancy, attend Roswell Church. They are the parents of two married daughters, Lisa Engberg (Mrs. Jeff) and Kelly Bachman (Mrs. Chuck). They have four grandchildren, Ayden Engberg, Hannah Bachman, Jordan Engberg, and Tate Edward Bachman.

Ed was a General Conference delegate in 2000 and 2004 (when he chaired the General Administration Legislative Committee). He served as Vice Chairperson of the 2008 delegation from North Georgia, and has been a delegate to Jurisdictional Conferences since 1988.
