Sponsored by the North Georgia Conference Youth Ministries Confirmation groups of any size may register; chaperones of the same gender must register at the ratio of one adult to 6 youth. Early Bird cost is $110 per person and goes up to $125 per person after December 15. “Pieces” is the theme for the weekends as we look at the pieces that come together in our journeys of faith as United Methodists as we focus on Romans 12:4-5: “For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” Worship, learning, fun and fellowship will be components of the weekend as we discover our part in the Body of Christ, experience some of the history of the Christian heritage, and celebrate the diversity and the connection that makes us who we are as United Methodists. The confirmation retreats are two identical weekends that are designed primarily for 6th-8th graders, but can include senior high if they have not yet been confirmed. They are to enhance the confirmation experience of churches who might not have their own confirmation retreat for those young people who are learning more about what it means to follow Christ and to make a profession of faith. It will be a weekend of learning from a variety of educational experiences and presentations by leaders in the conference, inspiring worship, some fun and games, and times for the youth to reflect on their faith and their desire to follow Christ and join the United Methodist Church. There will be large group experiences as well as small group times.
