About Ministerial Services
The Office of Ministerial Services and Spiritual Formation provides support and coordination to all the programs of the Board of Ordained Ministry including nurture and guidance for probationary members and the efforts of the Order of Deacons, Order of Elders, and the Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members. A variety of support services and programs are developed and coordinated with Emory Clergy Care for all clergy and their families. The support for the credentialing interviews of candidates for probationary and full connection membership, and full-time local pastors are also a part of the responsibilities of OMS. The Ministerial Education Fund is also administered through this office providing financial assistance to seminary students and local pastors in the Course of Study. The personnel files for all the clergy of the conference are maintained by this office. The Director is a member of the bishop's appointive cabinet.
