Need is great for housing volunteer work teams

The Conference Disaster Response Team is still hard at work responding to the needs of people affected by the September 2009 floods in Metro Atlanta.

Work teams from across the country continue to travel to lend a week of their time reaching out in our conference, but there is a dire need for housing for the teams.

We urge churches to consider housing teams if space permits and ask churches outside the affected area to consider making a donation toward hotel rooms for the teams.

Working out of the Disaster Response Warehouse in Austell, the conference hosts approximately three volunteer work teams each week and are tackling about 10 houses at a time.
