"Most United Methodist churches are populated by people in the first or second generation and really have struggled to be relevant to the emerging generations."
- Rev. Steve Wood, Lead Pastor at Mount Pisgah UMC
In a recent Pew Research Survey only 58% of millennials say they are “absolutely certain” that God exists. They are also less likely than older generations to be affiliated with any religion. The challenge moving forward for the church is to engage a culture skeptical of God and the Gospel.
LCI2014 will feature keynote speakers such as Mark Batterson, Jorge Acevedo, and Dr. Timothy C. Tennent. From holding church at The Capitol, in movies theaters, to overseeing a seminary of more than 1,500 students--LCI2014 offers diverse perspectives on how to grow the church & embrace a younger generation.
LCI2014 is not just for large church pastors and staff; leaders from all size congregations are invited to learn more about discipleship and expanding the Kingdom of God!!
