YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – C. Brooks Seay, Ed.D., J.D., M.B.A., C.P.A, has been selected as the new vice president for finance and operations and chief financial officer at Young Harris College, YHC President Cathy Cox recently announced.
“We are pleased to welcome Brooks to the YHC family,” said President Cox. “Her expertise, experience and leadership will serve as immense assets to the College.”
Dr. Seay brings 30 years of business experience—including 12 years in higher education—to YHC, most recently serving as chief business officer and associate dean of the School of Law at Emory University. Prior to her position at Emory, Dr. Seay served as a financial leader at Ashe & Rafuse, LLP, Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP and Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP.
She received her bachelor of business administration degree from Oglethorpe University in 1985, juris doctorate from Georgia State University in 1994 and master of business administration from Emory University in 2009. Additionally, she earned a doctor of education degree in higher education administration and leadership from the University of Georgia in 2011.
