Emory Clergy Care to Close at Year End; Transition Plans in Place
Rev. George H. Grant, PhD, executive director of Spiritual Health at Emory Healthcare, is announcing that a business decision has been reached to close Emory Clergy Care (ECC) on December 31 of this year. The North Georgia Conference and ECC have partnered for many years to provide valuable counseling and consultation resources for pastors and their families.
Dr. Grant confirms that ECC is committed to a seamless transition of the functions of its office and has already made arrangements for the following:
- Anne Imhoff, PhD, will continue psychological assessments with ministerial candidates uninterrupted.
- The Office of Spiritual Health at Emory Healthcare will continue the management of the Stiles-Bradley Fund. Access numbers for assistance with the fund are 678-924-9260 or 866-394-9330.
"I am grateful for the long relationship with ECC, for the kindness, dedication and professionalism of their current and former staff members," said Rev. Jane Brooks, director of Ministerial Services and Assistant to the Bishop. "We will be in prayer for the staff as they navigate this transition."
