Advocate Fall Subscription Campaign: Send Your Pastor to Paradise
Well, paradise on Earth, anyway.
As part of our fall 2009 subscription drive – which runs from Tues., Oct. 6 until Tues. Nov. 9 -- the North Georgia Advocate is offering some special incentives:
- During the five-week campaign, $5 from every annual subscription sold at $28 will go back to the local church to support missions and ministries.
- The church that sells the most new subscriptions, or renewals, wins a week at a luxurious Gulf Coast beach home for its pastor and family at one of two exclusive locations: Rosemary Beach or Carillon Beach, based on availability.
- The church that has the most new subscriptions, or renewals, based on percentage of membership, wins an all-inclusive one-night meeting package at Simpsonwood, with use of up to 10 bedrooms (double-occupancy), conference facilities and three meals.
- The church that sells the second most subscriptions, based on percentage of membership, wins three nights for its pastor and spouse at the Simpsonwood Retreat Center.
“We want everyone to benefit from this campaign,” said Advocate editor Glenn Hannigan. “First, we want to raise awareness about the Advocate and get it into more people’s hands. It is a great way to stay informed about news and events across the conference. Secondly, we wanted to come up with a fun, unique way to involve churches and reward some pastors.”
The North Georgia Advocate is published twice a month in partnership with the United Methodist Reporter. While the Advocate remains focused on news from the North Georgia Conference, the UM Reporter provides a broader look at church issues and topics.
