Freeman Sings at National Prayer Breakfast; Jones Gives Georgia House Devotional

2/4/2010

Two North Georgia United Methodists were a part of national and local political gatherings this week.

Ralph Freeman, member of Norcross First UMC and popular vocalist at numerous conference-related events, was a guest vocal soloist at today’s 2010 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC with President Obama as featured speaker.

The Annual National Prayer Breakfast occurs the first Thursday in February after Congress convenes.

Rev David Jones, pastor of Glenn Memorial UMC, gave the morning devotional at the Georgia House Wednesday morning where he asked the House to use common sense to seek common ground for the common good.
