Several opportunities for youth are available through Confirmation and Spiritual Life Retreats sponsored by the North Georgia Conference Youth Ministries.
The confirmation retreats, for 6th-8th graders and senior high students who haven’t been confirmed, are designed to enhance the confirmation experience of churches that don’t have confirmation retreats.
The weekend of learning includes a variety of educational experiences and presentations by conference leaders, inspiring worship, some fun and games, and times for the youth to reflect on their faith and their desire to follow Christ and join the United Methodist Church. Large and small group experiences are available.
The options are a one-day event Feb. 19 at Bethlehem First, and Feb. 25-27 at Camp Glisson. The cost is $125 per person due with registration. The one-day retreat is $20.
Youth groups and their leaders are invited to attend a Spiritual Life Retreat in March 2011.
The weekends are designed to offer tools and resources for leaders and 6th-12th-grade youth through worship, small groups, fun and games, experiential activities and more.
Youth groups of any size may register; chaperones of the same gender must register at the ratio of one adult to 6 youth. Early bird cost is $110 per person, and $125 after December 15.
