Connectional Cafe: Ready to Serve

The latest initiative of the Office of Connectional Ministries, Connectional Cafe, offers Districts and churches a menu of more than 150 workshops led by a faculty of 80 North Georgia clergy and laity.
"The idea came from the need to shift more training opportunities to the district level instead of conference-wide and to tap into the abundance of talent in our conference," said Mike Selleck, Director of Connectional Ministries. "Districts or groups of churches can schedule the workshops they need at the time and place that makes the most sense for their people."
The workshops are divided into six areas and dozens of categories. There is no charge for any of the workshops, but scheduling depends on the availability of the faculty member.
All the workshops are listed at and include a brief description and a list of faculty members who are available to teach the class. If you are interested in scheduling a workshop, contact the faculty member directly to set a date.
Workshops range from "Safe Sanctuaries: What, How, and Who," which helps participants get on the right path toward full compliance as a safe place for children and youth, to "Successful Stewardship in Challenging Times" that addresses the challenges of budget in this economy, to "Tech Tools for Ministry" which introduces software, technology and internet tools.
