Leverage your blessings to bless others: Give on Action Ministries Sunday
“A gift to Action Ministries on Action Ministries Sunday returns to the church in ways that engage them by providing ready-made solutions that leverage and multiply their efforts,” said John Moeller, President and CEO of Action Ministries. “This is an unprecedented time in the history of Action Ministries’ 50 years of service to the poor. We are mobilizing and fueling ministry for churches in local communities and working together to serve even more Georgians.”
Donors who give on Action Ministries Sunday are leveraging their blessings to bless others by providing:
• Transitional housing to the homeless, where nine out of 10 families leave the Action Ministries program self-sufficient.
• Supportive housing to veterans, people living with HIV/AIDS, disabled people and women struggling with addiction.
• Hunger solutions through food pantries, community kitchens and gardens, backpack programs and the Smart Lunch, Smart Kid initiative, which served 117,000 lunches in 2012 to Georgia kids who would have otherwise gone hungry. A new food box ministry is coming soon.
• Education solutions through mentoring programs, GED, financial health or life skills classes, tutoring and reading programs for homeless children and tax return filing assistance for low-income and elderly clients.
Behind every life transformation is a group of individuals with a heart to serve. If you, your church, small group or family has heard the call to serve, Action Ministries can connect you with worthy projects in your own backyard.
Actions speak louder than words in Georgia, and you can help. Donate on Action Ministries Sunday at your church or visit www.actionministries.net
