The Orchard Hosts Their Mancathlon on September 21st
The Orchard’s Mancathlon is a multi-event competition for men at the ages of 21 and older. Regardless of whether you are young or old, fat or thin, athletic or not, there will be events for everyone. All participants will receive lunch and a t-shirt. Cost is $30 per person. The winner will receive the coveted Mancathlon Trophy. This event will start at 9:30AM and end around 2:30PM. Register Here

9th Annual Chicken-Que at Peachtree City UMC on September 21st
On Sept. 21st the fire-pits will light up at 3 AM for the ninth annual UMM Chicken-Que!  The United Methodist Men of Peachtree City United Methodist Church will once again man the grills for this much anticipated event!  The Men have perfected the grilling process and deliver a delicious golden brown chicken that is second to none in the area.  Cole Slaw, Baked Beans and a slice of Bread complete the meal at a price of $8.00. It is take-out only and you don’t even have to get out of your car!  Buy your tickets today and plan to drive through the campus at 400 Windgate Road on the 21st between11:00 am and 1:00 pm and have your hot meals handed to you.  Please consider purchasing an extra ticket to cover the cost of a meal for one of our Police Officers or Fire-fighters who willingly place themselves in harm’s way for us each day. Proceeds from the Chicken-Que go to support the on-going development and maintenance of the PTCUMC Scout Lodge that is home to Scouting Units from the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts as well as the Church’s other youth and children’s programs. To purchase your dinner tickets and for information, contact 770.486.5331

Snellville UMC Great Day of Service 2013 Saturday, September 21st
What Makes A "Day of Service" Great? Three things: God, You, and Others Sharing Fellowship . Click here and check out some of the great projects for Great Day of Service 2013 and sign-up to participate! There will not be childcare available during Great Day of Service, however we encourage you to bring children to age appropriate projects (check with your project leader). On Saturday, September 21st, we will gather in Wesley Hall at 8:00 a.m. for a breakfast biscuit, check-in for projects, and gather for a send off prayer at 8:45 a.m.! We will have a limited amount of t-shirts available for $10 each. Second Story Cafe Event at East Point First Mallalieu on September 27th
Second Story Café is the place to be on Friday, September 27 from 8 until 11 p.m. at East Point First Mallalieu United Methodist Church, 2651 Church Street, East Point, GA 30344. Geared to the 18-35 year-old crowd, Second Story Café features live music, spoken-word and comedy in a relaxed, carefree atmosphere. Christine Mills will MC the evening with Asaph – a trio featuring Alonzo Taylor, Brian Crawford and Reggie Howell – as the house band for the night.  And don’t missthe sounds of saxophonist Amerylis Willis, vocalist Zipporah Taylor and poet Kimberly DeWitt, who will  be there too. Sandwiches, snacks and sodas will be provided.  Come enjoy the billiards room or some of your favorite card and board games.   This initiative, led by young adults, is designed to open the church's door to the community!   The event is free and open to the public. Wesley Chapel Hosts 3rd Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, September 28th
Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on Sandy Plains in Marietta, GA would be delighted to welcome visitors and members of the conference to join them for their 3rd Annual Craft Fair to be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   They expect about 25 artists and crafters selling their handcrafted items.  Also, there will be a Bake Sale as well as a breakfast and lunch menu.  Please join them to celebrate God's love and blessings with the community surrounding Wesley Chapel.  They look forward to your visit. East Point First Mallalieu UMC Hosts Health and Wellness Expo September 28th
This Harvest of Health Expo will be held at East Point First Mallalieu, 2651 Church Street, East Point, GA 30344. It will include workshops on Affordable Care Act Impact, Asthma, Smoke Free, Breast Education, and CPR Techniques. Event starts at 10AM and finishes up at 2PM.
