Souper Bowl Success at Madison First UMC
The congregation of Madison First UMC collected following amounts for Souper Bowl Sunday :

$1007 New England Patriots
$554 Seattle Seahawks

100% of this will go to Action Ministries in Athens, Georgia which is an extension ministry of the Athens-Elberton District.

This total of $1561 will provide "Smart Kids" lunches during the summer for an entire week (they average about 350 kids a day for their summer ministries) and nine days of "Our Daily Bread" meals through the 7 day a week Soup Kitchen (they average 200 people a day).

The play that ended the game causing the Seahawks to not score was probably one of the worst calls in Superbowl history but your call to give this offering will long be remembered as a call of a Soul Winning team of the United Methodist Church to help stop hunger for even a brief moment.

Thank you for your generosity and compassion. It is an honor to serve alongside of you in the ministry here at Madison First UMC.
