Extend Health Information Sessions– Retiree/Surviving Spouse Health Insurance

At the recommendation of the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits, the North Georgia Conference will propose a new model for retiree health insurance. Consideration is being given to move from a single Medicare Supplemental plan to an individual supplemental coverage market through Extend Health, which will serve as a broker for insurance services. This plan will provide greater flexibility to the retirees/surviving spouses and will decrease the cost to the conference.

A series of information sessions will be conducted to provide NGC retirees and surviving spouses the opportunity to learn about the proposed direction for their health insurance, ask questions, etc. Family members are invited to attend. 

When will the Information Sessions be held?

Feb. 21 from 1-3pm at Madison FUMC
Feb. 22 from 10-noon at Gainesville FUMC
Feb. 22 from 2-4pm at Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center
Feb. 23 from 9-11am at Newnan FUMC
Feb. 23 from 1-3pm at Snellville FUMC
Feb. 24 from 10-noon at Sam Jones UMC
