Christine Selleck serves as the Administrative Assistant to Bishop B. Michael Watson. Chris has been in the Bishop's office since 1997. Prior to that she served five years as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of the Athens Elberton District. Chris provides support in all matters pertaining to the Bishop and the Episcopal office.
The enormous expectations of our Episcopal leader from the 330,000 North Georgia United Methodists in our 974 local churches, the 1200 clergy who serve them, and the demanding requirements from the General Church, means there is always plenty to do. Chris brings a gracious ease and level temperment to her work, which she views as a ministry to and within the Church.
Chris is married to Reverend Micheal Selleck, Director of Connectional Ministries for the North Georgia Conference. They have two adult children: Amy, who is married to Scott Nasworthy, and resides in Athens, GA; and Rick, who is married to Beth Turnell, and also resides in Athens, GA. The pride and joy of Chris' life are her three grandchildren: Jack, Mike & Lila Nasworthy.
