Connectional Ministries
Renita comes to us after serving five years in the Office of Church Development. She also served 10 years as the Senior Pastor of Cedar Grove UMC and 9 years as an Associate Pastor at Cascade UMC. She is currently serving as the Associate Director in the Office of Connectional Ministries. Her responsibilities include a variety of training that help equip the local church in conducting ministry more effectively, including Conference Connections, Mission-Oriented Training, Natural Church Development, and others.
She provides empowerment and guidance to three of the five ministry areas: Advocacy, Nurture, and Parish Life. Renita, has served as a teacher, preacher and workshop leader for local churches, pastors, women groups, youth groups, volunteer groups and community organizations.
As a woman of faith, called to the ordained ministry, she is forever grateful for those women who have gone before her to make smooth the way for her to be in mission with Gods people. She loves to play golf and tennis, enjoys watching and attending sports events, traveling and tasting new foods.
