Associate Director of Congregational Development for Hispanic Ministry
Dr. Juan Quintanilla was born in Monterrey, Mexico. Juan worked as an agricultural engineer at National Institute of Research of Agriculture. From there, he was called to ministry. He received his Master of Divinity from the Asbury Theological Seminary in 1985, and his Doctorate in Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2008. He is full elder in the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. For over 24 years he has served as chaplain, counselor, and church planter. He has served as Academic Dean and teacher at Juan Wesley Seminary in Mexico, and as an associate pastor at Mount Pisgah UMC in Johns Creek. Now Juan serves as Associate Director of Office of Congregational Development in the North Georgia Conference. Juan and wife Laura have two sons, both working in ministry. Daniel serves as a Director and Worship Leader and Josue serves as a pastor in the UMC.
