Youth ministry in the North Georgia Conference is very diverse. The conference (the largest in membership in United Methodism) is made up of mostly small churches, but it is also the conference with the most MEGA churches. That means there are many churches with no youth ministry programming, many churches with an average size youth group of 12 to 20 at a weekly gathering, and quite a few churches with hundreds of youth actively attending various youth ministries consisting of small groups, large worship, and powerful service.
No matter what size, no matter how active, no matter how informed or experienced you are in youth ministry, the North Georgia Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) wants to be a resource and a source of encouragement for reaching out and equipping the youth and youth leaders in your community. In these youth ministry web pages you will find opportunities for everyone in the conference to learn from ministering with youth. You'll find retreats, training opportunities, mission trips, and support. Let us know how we can be involved in the lives and discipling of your youth. Our role with all of these events is to help our congregations do better, not to do better than our congregations.
