Just Thinking... And Being Thankful

11/21/2016

Yes, I'm thinking about how thankful I am to God for all God's goodness to me.

As is my tradition I wish to take this space to offer reasons for gratitude to Almighty God. I hope you will find your own reasons to share thanks this Thursday and every day.

I am thankful for the gift of salvation that keeps on giving and giving.

I am thankful for the power of the Holy Spirit who keeps using two by fours to get my attention.

I am thankful for the United Methodist Church where I am able to live out my faith in a community of love and acceptance.

I am thankful for my faithfully loving wife and three precious children.

I am thankful for a family that extends in all directions, biological, adopted, and married.

I am thankful for the beautiful color of the leaves outside my family room that reminds me God is still creating.

I am thankful for a new Bishop who is full of energy, life, and vision for our conference and our Church.

I am thankful to work with such great women and men on the Cabinet, my other family.

I am thankful for good health.

I am thankful for Netflix.

I am thankful for modern technology

I am thankful for memories that remind how blessed I really am.

I am thankful for a best friend, for a covenant group, and for those whose friendship fills my heart to overflowing.

I am thankful for DeDe Leetch and Coy Hinton helping me out so I can take a Study Leave.

I am thankful for you, my pastors and my colleagues, who answer the call daily.

I am thankful for the churches of the Atlanta Emory District where God is present and where love flows.

So much to be thankful for, please take a moment and consider how much God has blessed you.

Much love and much hope,

Dana
