Ben Hill United Methodist Church is seeking a full-time Controller who is gifted at managing accounting procedures and supporting church administration. The successful candidate must have the ability to plan, administer and monitor all financial policies and procedures including financial reporting, cash management, purchasing and procurement, payroll, budgeting and forecasting. Primary role: ? Direct day-to-day financial operations ? Maintain computer-based accounting system ? Perform month-end general ledger closing processes, reconcile bank statements, prepare monthly financial statements ? Provide oversight of payroll and accounts payable ? Assess cash needs, manage cash flow and maximize the appropriate use of funds Education & Experience: ? Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance ? Minimum of five years of financial management experience ? Minimum of two years of recent experience in management with responsibility for accounts, budgeting, and financial functions Qualifications & Skills: ? Excellent organizational, analytical and motivational skills ? Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel and Word ? Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
