Associate Director of Family Ministries General Description Westside Table is a growing and diverse second campus of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church located in Atlanta’s Westside ( Westside Table is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Family Ministries with a passion for meeting and connecting with new people who can lead our ministry with children and families in Atlanta’s Westside. The ideal candidate will be a highly relational, detail-oriented self-starter who can thrive within a diverse community and is excited about the opportunity to build and scale within a startup context. Westside Table is committed to developing its leaders and supports this position with a salary commensurate with experience/education and a very good benefits package. There will also be opportunities for further professional development. Each Westside Table staff member has particular responsibilities but we frequently work together to advance our mission. Essential Job Functions • Family Ministry – Provides leadership for family ministry at Westside Table. This includes creating ministry for children as well as supporting and encouraging parents in their faith development. • Adult Faith Formation and Community Outreach –Faith formation includes starting and supporting small groups while also providing opportunities to make a difference in Atlanta in partnership with Westside Table ministry partners. • Invitation and Connection – Actively inviting and welcoming guests to Westside Table and creating pathways that help them grow more connected with the Westside Table community. • Communication – Promotes Westside Table ministry, fellowship and outreach opportunities by utilizing social media including website, email marketing, Instagram, Facebook, etc. • Other duties as required. Education and Experience · College degree preferred, but comparable work experience accepted. · Proficient in all forms of communication. Effective with one-on-one conversations as well as large audience presentations. · Must have a history of being very organized and able to balance multiple projects at once. · Experience working or actively volunteering in a church setting preferred.
