Classified Ad for Music Director submitted to NGUMC website May 1, 2021 Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Athens, GA, is accepting applications for a part-time Director of Music. The Director will plan, implement, and supervise the music activities of the church under the direction of the pastor. Responsibilities include directing the choir, coordinating choral and instrumental music for Sunday worship services and special musical events/programs including adults, youth, and children as requested. A degree in music and prior experience as a choir conductor is preferred. Ability to lead and perform various styles of music including traditional, praise and worship, gospel, contemporary and classical. Both vocal and instrumental performance skills are desirable along with audio/video skills to improve online presence.
