Nursery Worker


Childcare Worker/Nursery Attendant $15 an hour Part-time, Shifts available: Sundays 9:15-12:15; Monday and Fridays 8:45-1:15; Thursdays: 9:30-12:15 (work one or multiple) Must be vaccinated The Childcare Worker serves families by providing engaging, positive, age-appropriate interaction and loving supervision for children in a safe and nurturing environment. QUALIFICATIONS -At least 18 yrs. of age -Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 5: 1 year experience preferred -First Aid/CPR Certification or willing to complete upon hire -Team player able to work well with paid workers and volunteers -Ability to build positive relationships with parents, church staff, supervisor, and others -High level of discretion to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality -Be physically able to frequently lift a child up to 35 pounds, bend over, sit on the floor, adn safely transition children to outdoor play areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Work with Ministry Staff to provide a welcoming, loving, caring and safe space for all children -Responsible for cleanliness of nursery rooms by thoroughly sanitizing and cleaning the room after each nursery session. Alert Director of Nursery to room and supply needs -Responsible for knowledge and implementation of all check-in and check-out procedures with the ability to assist parents/guardians as they arrive with children and as they leave -Warmly greet parents and children when they come to the nursery or classroom -Ensure the nursery or classroom is a place of joy, play, and friendship Perform all aspects of childcare including diaper changes, potty training assistance, and feeding as required. -Implement activities and instruction as instructed by the Ministry Staff -Keep Director informed of significant classroom incidents or concerns. -Comply with all child safety and security procedures including the Safe Sanctuaries Policy. -Follow work scheduling and demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. -Perform other duties, as assigned.
