Office & Communications Manager - Mountain Park UMC


Summary of Responsibilities: This full-time position is an essential link that enables many other members of the faithful community (the pastors, program staff, church council and committees, etc.) to fulfill their ministries. As a supporting member of the “Staff Ministry Team”, the Office and Communications Manager seeks to both lead and serve the church in fulfilling its mission and ministry. Essential Job Duties: Other duties may be assigned Ministry Support & Communications • Assist with prayer concerns as they come into the church office by communicating requests to pastors, staff and church body • Provide communications support for church ministries and programs, by returning calls to church members, taking & distributing meeting minutes, and generating correspondence as requested by pastors and program staff • Assist and contribute to the development of the church’s communications strategy • Manage, update, edit and process all print materials, graphics, pictures, and electronic media, including website and social media in a consistent and uniform format including special projects and events Administration • Supervise, train, and provide guidance to part-time office staff and volunteers • Cross-train with other office staff as needed to cover for vacation, sick leave, and special projects • Coordinate and maintain calendar for room requests and church-wide activities and notify support persons as needed for all events • Maintain office equipment, office supplies and inventory • Maintain Keyless entry system • Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to constituent requests • Maintain confidentiality regarding all church business Qualifications: • A genuine heart and love for God • Superior organizational, planning, and analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written • Supervisory/Management experience, especially related to church office management • High proficiency with office software programs, e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and church management systems, e.g., Realm • Solid experience with social media and online platforms, e.g., Facebook, Squarespace, and Constant Contact • Knowledge and experience in using Vimeo and performing simple video editing Salary & Benefits: • Salary commensurate with Experience – Range $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per annum • Health Insurance, Paid Personal Time Off, Sick Time, IRA Contributions, Continuing Education Benefit
