Student Minister


The Minister to Students position is an integral part of the Canton First UMC ministry team and works closely with the Lead Pastor and staff to oversee, lead, and manage all aspects of student ministry (6th through 12th grade), so that students will have a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and an ongoing connection to the faith community of the Church. 40 hours per week, salary commensurate with experience. Benefits eligibility. • Develop programs/events that meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of middle and high school students. • Provide staff supervision to the selection and ordering of all curriculum and materials for student ministry activities consistent with Wesleyan theology. • Develop a network of spiritually gifted volunteers who can reach and disciple students. Lead and create student ministry leadership training events. • Create and lead a Student Ministry Leadership Team that will assist in planning events and programs, welcome students, and participate in teaching activities. • Plan and implement service and mission opportunities specific to students to allow them to engage in the community and world.
