JOB TITLE: NURSERY ASSISTANT

REPORTS TO: Children’s Coordinator (day to day supervision)
Pastor (day to day supervision)
Staff Parish Relations Committee (hiring and final supervisory authority)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide a stable, consistent environment of Christian child care for infants and children (through 4 years of age) during worship services and other church activities as requested. Church childcare provides the adult membership the opportunity to give their full attention to participation in Church services, meetings, and activities resulting in further personal Christian development and spiritual growth for all.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides stable and consistent Christian childcare for the infants and toddlers (through age 4) of the Church as required during:

Regularly scheduled services
Special services
Wednesday Night Suppers
Other activities as needed

Participate in formal annual performance reviews with Pastor and SPRC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a Christian.
Be a minimum of 18 years of age

Have practical experience with infant and toddler care.
Be able to work approximately 200 hours per calendar year.
Provide own reliable transportation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CERTIFICATES

Pass Background Check

Basic First Aid Training Certificate

CPR for Children Training Certificate

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

Paid hourly based on submitted Time Sheet
Paid semi-monthly on the 15^th and Last Day of the Month
No paid Personal Time Off (PTO)
