NGUMC's Center for Congregational Excellence exists to support, resource and equip the congregational leaders of North Georgia United Methodist churches for making disciples and experiencing transformation in Christ. Our team's Administrator serves as the essential connection point between our staff, our systems, our leaders, and our resources. To accomplish our mission, our Administrator must thrive in managing the details of a fast-paced, adaptive team.

Educational Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications,  
Experience with developing digital content and maintaining an organization's online presence (website and social media)
Strong working knowledge of The United Methodist Church
Track record of successful organizational administrative leadership and support
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills
Highly organized with attention to detail
Under the supervision of the Director of Congregational Excellence, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all organizational aspects of managing a team of 3 full-time staff members, 3 part-time staff members, and multiple contracted consultants.
Shall perform duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Congregational Excellence, including initial budget preparation, Conference Nominations Report preparation, meeting preparation (agenda, handouts, e-mail reminders, minutes) for staff and select boards and committees, management of software, records, and communications systems, etc.
Shall be responsible for assisting staff in project and event planning, including research as requested, on-site assistance as requested, including one week in Athens each June for the North Georgia Annual Conference, expense reimbursement, and follow-up procedures.

Shall provide administrative support to the Barnes Evaluative and Administrative Team (BEAT), including the management and processing of applications, timely communication with applicants, requisition of grant monies for distribution, and process for accountable follow up with recipients.

These duties shall be performed in a hybrid work environment, including: in office (in Atlanta), on site (various), virtually, and remotely. 

May require prolonged standing or sitting, frequent bending, stooping or stretching. Requires manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination, and ability to lift 25 pounds above the shoulders.
