St. Paul UMC in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta seeks a dynamic and energetic leader with a passion for planning and implementing our summer Kid’s Serve Camps that focus on teaching our children to grow in their love of serving others.

Position Details

Seasonal – May through July
Schedule:
- Ten weeks of work total, with 5-6 weeks being active camp weeks
Reports to Pastor

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning
- Develop and Implement camp curriculum Planning activities for 5-6 weeks of day camp
- Working with area non-profits to form working relationships that campers can learn about and help to serve
- Create camp budget and maintain good financial records
- Working with the church pastor to hire and train counselors
- Planning and purchasing supplies
- Overseeing registration of campers
Overseeing Camp
- Running and supporting camp weeks
- Supervising counselors
- Addressing any issues or emergencies that arise during camp
- Being a good steward of the building and keeping everything neat and tidy
Additional responsibilities
- Evaluating camp when the season is over
- Maintaining a positive atmosphere for both campers and employees
Other duties as needed
