Father God, thank you for this psalm, which speaks volumes of truth to your people. Thank you for this message which foreshadows the glorious news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is freely given to all peoples. Lord I pray that we will hear and know that your declation of steadfast love toward all of humanity is a clarion call for racial reconciliation and justice right now.
Father, give us the courage to share this glorious truth to all ethnic and racial backgrounds. Help us to be faithful and committed to sharing the love of God to all our neighbors; for you are not a God of partiality or respecter of certain persons. Instead, you are inclusive to all and faithful to whomever puts their trust in you.
Father, we love you and praise you for your goodness and your faithfulness that endures forever. We praise you for reconciling the world to Yourself. We extol Your great name on all the Earth, and we go forth as ambassadors of your love and grace. To God be the glory!
In the precious name of Jesus we pray.
—Dyanne Cunningham, Ben Hill UMC
NOTE: A "collect" (call-ect) is a simple, focused prayer.
Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 117

your young men will see visions.
