The Conference Committee on Native American Ministries is sponsoring a gathering of all people who are supportive of our ministry with Native Americans in the North Georgia Conference. We will worship and share a meal together. There will a brief training for local church Native American Representatives. This spirng gathering will again be held at the Pine Log UMC Campground. Pine Log was originally a Cherokee village and they share much history with all our peoples. All cultures will be recognized at this meeting to demonstrate our diversity. This will include all represented tribes as well as non-tribal cultures. So if you are African, English, Irish, etc. we will give you the opportunity to identify yourself. It has been our honor to have Levi Walker, Jr. at our gatherings. He is full-blood Odawa and is best known to Atlantans as the former "Chief Knock-a-homa." Native Dress is encouraged but not required. Registration is requested because we need a count for lunch.
