Join the focus on continued development of your church discipleship ministry with practical guidance from some of our best practitioners. 

Rev. Debby Fox will share practical, hands on examples of best practices for discipleship and developing a holistic plan for all ages.

Russell Davis  will share how North Georgia Camp and Retreat Ministries weaves together discipleship with leadership development.

The event will be Thursday, April 25, at The Nett - Berkmar Campus, 675 Pleasant Hill Road, Lilburn, GA. Check in will begin at 9:30 am, the program will begin at 10 am and last until 2:30 pm.

Cost is $20 for the first person from a church, and $15 for each additional person from the same church that registers.

Featured Speakers

Russell Davis is the Executive Director of the North Georgia Conference Camp and Retreat Ministries, Inc.  He is in his twelfth year serving the churches of our conference. Russell leads a team responsible for the ministry and facilities of Glisson Camp and Retreat Center for Grow Day Camps and the Experiential Leadership Institute, and for the newly launched Shoreline Camps. In 2018 these summer ministries served 4,486 children and youth.
In his twenty-six years in camping, he has served camps in Virginia, Oklahoma, and South Carolina prior to coming home to Georgia. He serves as Chairperson for the Association of United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries, has led and designed workshops and events for a variety of United Methodist and American Camp Association regional and national conferences, has been a visitor for the American Camp Association for twelve years, and is a representative to the ecumenical Outdoor Ministries Connection. He attended Georgia Southern College in Statesboro during the Erk Russell national championship years and attended seminary at the Candler School of Theology at Emory.
He is married to Rebecca who is Chief Development Officer for Action Ministries. They have two children, Sam, a history major at Kennesaw State, and Libby, a second-year art teacher in Camden, SC.

Debby Fox is a consultant for the Center for Congregational Excellence. Her emphasis is on Christian Education, Children's Ministry, and church training.

An ordained deacon, Debby has served in three annual conferences Kentucky, Western Ohio, and North Georgia, During the past 11 years she has been an instrumental part of the development of Discipleship Programs for the North Georgia Conference, the Children’s Ministry Institute, Done in a Day – Children Workers Training, and our Conference-wide Children's Retreats.

Debby attended Lawrence University in Appleton WI and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in History . She did her diaconal studies at Candler School of Theology and received a MCE from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. 

Debby is the mother of four and grandmother of six (and another on the way!) of the most talented, charming and adorable grandchildren. She and her husband Jeff live in Dahlonega.
