A special session of the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference met Wednesday, July 21, 2021, to vote on a proposed resolution to unite the Memphis Annual Conference and the Tennessee Annual Conference.
The delegates approved the resolution, officially creating the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference. The change is effective upon the adjournment of the Conference.
Additionally, the delegates and viewers of the virtual session, saw video updates on the ways the Annual Conferences in our Jurisdiction have remained active during this challenging year, including our pandemic response and the work of anti-racism across the jurisdiction.
The North Georgia Conference delegation to General Conference and Jurisdictional Conference is chaired by Rev. Dr. Byron Thomas.
