DCOM Chairs, DCOM Registrars, District Administrative Staff, District Mission Specialists, and District Superintendents are required to attend an additional DCOM training session on the same day as your full DCOM training from 1pm-2:30pm via Zoom.

It is the goal of the Center for Clergy Excellence to provide DCOM trainings that are informative, engaging, and equipping so DCOMs may accomplish their work effectively.  We will talk about all the work of DCOM from certification of candidate to renewal of license for local pastors, as well as the variety of recommendations and when to make those to the Board of Ordained Ministry.

We are thankful that God is calling people and that they are responding to that call in The United Methodist Church.  As the front line in the discernment process it is vital that DCOMs have the tools they need to successfully assist those seeking certification. We hope this training will provide DCOM members with information and guidance for accomplishing this work.
