Are you looking for a way to advocate for our United Methodist Social Principles here in our own state of Georgia? Not sure where to start?

Trinity UMC in Downtown Atlanta is hosting a Legislative Priority Session on November 2. Attendees will learn about Georgia’s legislative agenda for next year, discuss priorities, and plan for collective advocacy work.

The day will start at 10 am with an introduction. Attendees will hear from two of Georgia’s state legislators about Georgia’s upcoming legislative agenda and begin to answer the question: “How can people of faith be engaged in advocacy?” In the afternoon there will be speakers on the topic of Medicaid Expansion and Criminal Justice Reform.

Lunch will be provided at noon and free parking is available in the church parking deck with a validated ticket.
