Save The Date: Annual Conference is June 7-9

The next North Georgia Annual Conference Session will be a little earlier than usual. The 2016 meeting will take place June 7-9 at The Classic Center in Athens.  2016 will be a year of Holy Conferencing. General Conference, The United Methodist Church’s top legislative body, will meet at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, the largest convention center in the Pacific Northwest, on May 10-20, 2016. North Georgia Delegation Endorses Sharma Lewis as Episcopal Nominee

The members of the North Georgia Conference Delegation have unanimously endorsed the Rev. Sharma D. Lewis as their episcopal nominee.    Rev. Lewis serves as District Superintendent of the Atlanta-Decatur-Oxford District.   "She is a person of impeccable character. Taking Leave of Simpson Chapel

As the North Georgia Conference prepares to move from the Simpsonwood property to Century Center in Atlanta, a service of deconsecration of the Simpson Chapel was held on August 5, 2015. Rev.
