Ordination Service Highlights Day One of North Georgia Conference

On Tuesday, June 10, the North Georgia Annual Conference commissioned nine provisional members, ordained three full connection deacons, and ordained 16 full connection elders. Bishop L. Great Line-Up of Speakers for Annual Conference 2014

Bishop L. Jonathan Holston is "coming home" to be guest preacher at the North Georgia Annual Conference. He will preach opening worship and the ordination service.   Bishop Holston was elected bishop by the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference on the first ballot in 2012. Communication Regarding the Deed of Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center

On August 14, 2013, the Superior Court of Gwinnett County issued a ruling that allows the Simpsonwood Board of Trustees and the Conference Board of Trustees (Plaintiffs) to “freely use and convey the (Simpsonwood) Property free of the Restrictive Covenants”.  Interestingly, the Judge stated in his ruling that “it is undisputed that the restrictive covenants were honored by Plaintiffs during their legally enforceable term of twenty (20) years and for two decades thereafter.” (Bold added)  This ...
