KidQuest: Bremen First Offers a Weekly 'Mini-VBS' to More than 100 Kids

Bremen, a small town of about 7,000 people, is seeing growth as the Atlanta suburbs move west and Carrollton expands north. We know from MissionInsite that the majority of people moving to Bremen are young families drawn to the area for the school system and housing. March 28 Update: To date, Smith has raised more than $3,500! When 9-year-old Senoia UMC member Smith heard about the crisis in Ukraine he wanted to do something to help. Grace UMC Covington Open as Warming Center

This winter Grace UMC in Covington has opened its doors as the local warming center location and will continue the outreach through the end of March. Acworth Food Pantry Meets Community Needs, Donating More than 1 Million Pounds of Food in the Pandemic

Acworth United Methodist Church has operated a food pantry every Tuesday for many years. Before COVID, a small group of closely-knit mostly senior volunteers served about 30 families per week through the food pantry. But since March of 2020, there has been a great increase in need in the community. Within a matter of a few weeks, the ministry went from seeing 30 families a week to more than 300 per week. Harmony Grove UMC Opens a Little Free Pantry for its Community

For those unfamiliar with the Little Free Pantry concept, it is based on the Little Free Library® model, except the box is stocked with food and hygiene items instead of books.
