Fund Number Established for Northwest Georgia Tornado Response

The North Georgia Conference has set up Fund Number 3743 to support the Conference Disaster Response for yesterday's storms. The title of this fund is Disaster Response - Tornado Winter 2013. Members can drop a check in any North Georgia UMC offering plate made out to the church with "Tornado Winter 2013" in memo line. Tornadoes, high winds and heavy rains resulting in flooding have hit many of our Georgia counties today. Just after 11 am a tornado struck the Adairsville area causing significant damage and at least one fatality. Other areas are also reporting tornado or straight line wind damage. General Board of Discipleship Recruiting Youth and Young Adults to Help with Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
