Harlem UMC is Growing Little Missionaries

Catawba Indian Reservation was recently visited by 12 children, ages 5-10 years old, from Harlem UMC.

April 8th-9th the little missionaries picked up trash along the Catawba River walking trails, painted pallets for hanging tomato plants, picked up sticks in the picnic areas, raked leaves, and pulled weeds in the community gardens.

Afterwards, the children were eager to learn more about the Catawba Indians from Chief Bill Harris. They also enjoyed Native American animal stories told by Medicine Woman Beckee Garrison.
