One of the most historic Camp Meetings in the North Georgia Conference will take place July 11-18 at Salem Campground between Covington and Conyers.

Dr. Leslie Holmes of Erskine Theology School of Augusta and Dr. Alice Rogers, pastor of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church of Atlanta, will be preaching at 10:45 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. services.  Dr. Hal Brady, a retired pastor and noted United Methodist evangelist, will preach Sunday, July 13, at the 10:45 a.m. service. Mr. Thomas Roberts will be song leader and special area choirs will be at each service. Also at each service, Alice Walker and Becky Ramsey, the famous twin duo pianists, will be playing great sacred music selections on grand pianos.

The tabernacle, on the National Building Survey as one of the historic buildings of America, was built in 1854. The entire campground is on the National Register of Historic Places.
