Rev. Olu Brown: Let's Be Bold

In a sobering and powerful response on the floor of the Annual Conference session on Friday, June 19, Rev. Olu Brown, Lead Pastor of Impact Church in East Point, calls North Georgia United Methodists to the task of what it means to be the church. In his reflection of our time together in Athens and the events of the week, Rev. Brown stated, "This week my brothers and sisters, we are too calm, too reserved, too polite and too gentle while the world outside is dying and being victimized by terrorism – domestic and abroad – and the world wants to know, “Where is God? Where is Jesus? And where is the United Methodist Church?"

What are we waiting for and if so, why are we waiting to be bold? If not us, then who? If not this, then what? If not here, then where? If not now, then when?"
